Call Executives to Demand Wendy's
Join the Fair Food Program!
Join thousands of farmworkers, students, people of faith, and consumers of conscience in refusing to purchase from Wendy's until it protects farmworkers in its supply chain by joining the Fair Food Program.
Thank you for joining us in action against human rights abuses in the agricultural industry! This guide will help you call Wendy’s executives, and leave a message in support of the Fair Food Program and farmworker human rights. Though we would love for your call to be answered, it is most likely that you will be directed to leave a voicemail message. You may use all or part of the following as a guide.
CAll script:
Hello [Heidi Schauer/Aaron Broholm]. My name is [insert name] and I am calling as a consumer to inform you that I will be joining farmworkers and consumers of conscience in boycotting Wendy’s until it joins Fair Food Program.
The Fair Food Program guarantees protections for tens of thousands of farmworkers, including the right to shade, water, and rest breaks—as well as zero tolerance policies for sexual assault, child labor, and modern slavery. Wendy’s has refused calls from farmworkers and consumers to join this program for over a decade.
I look forward to the day when Wendy’s prioritizes the human rights of farmworkers. Until then, I will be joining the hundreds of thousands of consumers boycotting Wendy’s and you will not receive any of my business.
Make sure to note any response you receive and let us know how it went. Feel free to leave another voicemail, or share this guide with friends and family!
